This notice supplements our Privacy Policy and applies solely to California residents. It is provided pursuant to the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 ("CCPA") and the California Privacy Rights Act ("CPRA").

1. Information we collect

In the past 12 months, ScoutMyPlace ("we", "us") has collected the following categories of personal information from California residents:

  • Identifiers — name, email address, phone number, IP address.
  • Customer records — billing details (processed by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers).
  • Commercial information — bookings, services purchased, refunds.
  • Geolocation data — property addresses you provide; coarse location of scouts during a visit (check-in / check-out).
  • Internet activity — pages viewed, referring URLs, browser type (via standard server logs and analytics).
  • Inferences — none drawn from sensitive categories.

2. Why we collect it

  • To provide the scouting service you booked.
  • To process payments via Stripe.
  • To communicate with you about your bookings.
  • To improve the service and prevent fraud.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

3. We do not sell your personal information

ScoutMyPlace does not sell your personal information, and we have not done so in the past 12 months. We do not share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

4. Your rights

Under the CCPA/CPRA, California residents have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we have collected about you.
  • Request deletion of your personal information.
  • Correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Opt out of any sale or sharing (we don't sell or share — but the right exists).

  • Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.

5. How to exercise your rights

Email hello@scoutmyplace.com with the subject line "CCPA request" and a brief description of the right you wish to exercise. We will respond within 45 days.

We will verify your identity by requesting information that matches what we already have on file (email used at booking, etc.). Authorized agents may submit requests on your behalf with proof of authorization.

6. Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Booking records are typically kept for 7 years for tax and accounting purposes.
